A Song Salon Moment – Featured Video – Joy in Singing

SongsSalon, a program of Joy in Singing has showcased my video and story with the sisters Duo Savigni – 19th Century Guitar and Pianforte in Italy. Today they have launched a social network outreach entitled #ASongSalonMoment which will switch off to a new artist every three weeks. The current video features a song by 19th century bel canto start Maria Malibran, in a song composed by her called “Rataplan”; this song was featured in a concert I sang in Italy in 2017, in a transatlantic collaboration with historic instrumentalists, Duo Savigni. The video features an epilogue in which I tell our story, accompanied by a graphic work by Italian designer Riccardo Pagliani

The beginning of my career is closely associated with Joy in Singing, their competition as well as their program SongSalon. Founded in 1958, Joy in Singing has supported numerous interpreters of Art Song thru their competition and educational programs.
